A Hamilton woman who stole another woman’s winnings from a pokie machine has been jailed for two days. Denean Pitman, 39, of Norma Avenue, pleaded guilty in Warrnambool Magistrates Court to theft-related offences. She was arrested last Saturday after police linked her to the theft of a wallet and $100 cash from a caravan at a holiday park in Hamilton. That theft occurred between 1.30 and 3am on March 1. Pitman entered the caravan while the victim was away and stole the wallet, which was later located in her handbag. Pitman was identified on CCTV footage. At the time of the offending she was on bail for stealing $16 from a pokie machine at Hamilton’s Grand Central Hotel on November 29.
